Prior to attending law school, Ms. Valdez had a career as a nurse in a variety of demanding settings. She was a nurse in the maximum-security area of the Texas Department of Corrections; the Travis County Sherriff's Department; and in Emergency Room medicine. Ms. Valdez thrived in these high pressure and extremely intense work environments, acting quickly and decisively when dealing with dangerous suspected criminals and inmates. She has carried these abilities over to her legal practice, moving swiftly and unfalteringly during the often-complex developments that arise in trial situations. Ms. Valdez's passion for doing the right thing and ability to assess and work through difficult situations allows her to offer quality representation to her clients during the most difficult times in their lives.
