Nathaniel "Nate" Tarlow is committed to the principle of providing effective, high quality representation to his clients. Seeing to the needs of his client is of paramount concern, and he works to offer excellent client service. At base is the understanding that Mr. Tarlow treats every case as if his own reputation is at stake, which it is. Mr. Tarlow treats each case, each client, respectfully and aggressively, solving problems that are daunting and oppressive.

Mr. Tarlow's practice areas include criminal law, juvenile law, family law, CPS matters, and personal injury. He is a staunch advocate for those who have been accused of DWI and he works very, very hard to create a positive result for his client. Mr. Tarlow believes in working aggressively to achieve the optimal solution for his clients. He never loses sight of the fact that each client is an individual person with individual legal needs, and that each client brings specific facts and circumstances to his or her case. Mr. Tarlow has never taken a cookie-cutter approach to dealing with his clients, and it is this dedication and attention to detail that has resulted in positive outcomes for his clients.

Mr. Tarlow understands that each case he handles is very often the most important event occurring in his client's life. That understanding allows him to concentrate on his client's particular needs in the most favorable manner. When working on a client's case, Mr. Tarlow is careful to address all of his client's concerns, not simply the legal ones. He brings his considerable intellect and talents to each case and perseveres to bring about a positive outcome for his clients.

Mr. Tarlow has lived in Texas since early childhood. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a double major in History and in Latin American Studies. During his university years, Mr. Tarlow worked for the Texas Rural Development Council where he honed his skills as a writer and communicator. Upon graduation form the University of Texas, Mr. Tarlow worked in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the marketing department of the Mirage Hotel and Casino, furthering the development of his communication skills.

Mr. Tarlow is fluent in Spanish, a skill he used as a bilingual tour guide with the United States Federal Government at the Hoover Dam, and a skill that helps him serve a diverse client base now. During the course of his employment, Mr. Tarlow has learned the value and importance of having good people skills. He sharpened his ability to interact productively with people from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, an ability that serves him well in all areas of his practice.

Mr. Tarlow graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, in 2004. During law school, Mr. Tarlow clerked under Justice Linda R. Yanez of the Thirteenth District Court of Appeals. He also worked for the law firm of Schneider and McKinney, PC. Mr. Tarlow was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award twice during law school, and was a leading advocate for his team in their first place finish in the Spurgeon Bell Memorial Mock Trial tournament. After passing the bar exam, Mr. Tarlow traveled extensively in Asia and Africa for over a year sightseeing and doing volunteer work, before coming back to Houston and joining Laird Valdez, LLP. Mr. Tarlow strives to ensure that your case is treated as a priority and with all the care and respect due to you as an individual.
